After enjoying the view from the Rozé lookout, the starting point for this route, hop on your bike and cross the bridge, then turn right along the Brivet.

Along the way, you'll discover six of the seven islands that make up the commune of Saint-Joachim, in the heart of the Brière Regional Nature Park.

The first to welcome you is Ile d'Aignac, where you turn right at the roundabout towards Ile de Ménac.
Cross a small bridge and you're on the island of Bais; a second one and you're on the island of Brécun; a third one a little further on and you're on the long island of Pendille, the heart of the village.

Your next destination is the island of Fédrun, a place almost out of time, which you reach after crossing the marsh for a few hundred metres: to the left and to the right stretch wet meadows, reeds and canals as far as the eye can see, home to dozens of species of birds. A breathtaking panorama!

Once you're on the island, you'll be able to appreciate its typically Brie layout: the circular road that runs around it, the houses, often thatched, built on long plots of land (the levées) that give access to the canal, and in the centre an area dedicated to crops, the gagnerie.
Stop off for a barge trip with a guide or to visit the Chaumière Briéronne and the Maison de la Mariée, or continue to the other end of the island where the road will take you back to the island of Aignac, then a little further on to Rozé.

    You've come full circle!
