ETANG DU BOIS JOALLAND

Route du Bois Joalland, 44600 Saint-Nazaire

Description

An artificial lake created by the US Army in 1918 to supply the town with drinking water
In the Immaculée neighbourhood, this 44.33-hectare lake has become a must-visit spot for anglers, joggers, and sailing and rowing enthusiasts. Walkers can circumnavigate it along a three-kilometre path. A little further on, the Guindreff and Belle-Hautière ponds extend this green belt around the town. A range of activities are on offer around the lake: games, walks, water sports, as well as a fishing jetty accessible to people with reduced mobility.
