Description
Antoine Mercier, freelance nature guide in the Brière marshes and Guérande peninsula in Loire-Atlantique.
For individuals:
Antoine offers a wide range of guided tours to help you discover the flora and fauna. The tours are either on a specific theme: ornithology, edible plants, the deer's bark, etc., or follow a set route. Check the "events" page of its website to make sure you don't miss any outings.
A minimum of 4 people is required to take part (except in the event of dangerous weather conditions).
Nature outings à la carte
Would you like to take time out for your nature outing and just be with your family or friends? Tailor-made outings are available, where you will be the only member of your group on the outing. You'll be offered a tasting of local produce and a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
Themes include
-Salt marsh flora and fauna and how the salt marshes work (possible all year round, with September-October and April-May being good months for birdwatching, and summer for seeing the salt works in operation).
-Birdwatching in the Brière and discovering the Brière heritage (ideal in spring and summer)
-Nature walks in the Gâvre forest (stag bellowing at night in September-October or mushroom discoveries in autumn)
-Fishing on the wild coast of Le Pouliguen (spring, summer or autumn)
-Introduction to botany and recognition of edible plants, all over the Guérande peninsula (spring-summer)
Visits can also be arranged for schools, groups, businesses and associations.
